That year marked a pivotal shift as the company received support from the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development. This backing wasn’t just financial; it opened doors to new opportunities, allowing Door and More to relocate operations to a larger 2,000-square-meter facility—a substantial leap from their initial small workshop.
In the new space, Door and More invested in advanced machinery and expanded its team to 100 craftsmen and technicians, adding a touch of expertise and quality that had always been a core part of the brand’s identity. The new workshop was filled with the hum of machinery and the ideas of artisans working meticulously on furniture pieces that soon became highly sought after by Kuwaiti clients, who valued personalized, one-of-a-kind pieces for their homes.
Commitment to quality had distinguished Door and More from the beginning, but with expansion, the team was determined not to compromise on any of the standards that had built their reputation. The company chose top-grade materials, including melamine-coated panels imported from Europe in over 50 colors. These materials not only enhanced the furniture aesthetically but also offered durability, heat resistance, and eco-friendliness—being antibacterial and recyclable. These elements reflected the company’s values of providing furniture that combined beauty, quality, and concern for clients’ health and the environment.
In 2019, Door and More took a bold step forward. They decided to open a showroom in the Al Rai area, which became an inspiring space for everyone who walked through its doors. This showroom was more than just a display; it was an open invitation for clients to discover firsthand the essence that made every Door and More piece a blend of creativity and meticulous detail.
Visitors felt as if they were stepping into another world, where every corner and furniture piece told a story of craftsmanship and design. Surrounded by harmonious colors and serene spaces, clients could feel the essence of what made each piece unique—from the carefully selected European wood to the impeccable finishing that demonstrated each artisan’s skill.
The team, with their warm smiles and welcoming words, became an integral part of the customer experience. Each visitor had the opportunity to engage with the craftsmen and designers, who were not just employees but true partners in this journey of success. Their stories and skills inspired every encounter, making clients feel like they were joining in a journey of passion and excellence.
The Door and More showroom in Al Rai became more than a commercial space; it was a venue where dreams and aspirations came to life, embodying the vision that had guided the company’s journey to deliver luxurious furniture with an innovative and unique spirit.
A Defining Chapter in the Door & More Story: Resilience During the Pandemic
As with every great success story, there comes a true challenge of strength—and for Door & More, that moment came when the world was turned upside down by the global COVID pandemic. After reaching a peak in its journey with the launch of a showroom that had quickly become a destination for lovers of elegant, custom-made furniture, the company suddenly faced a challenge no one could have anticipated.
The doors that once welcomed visitors daily were closed. The warm conversations between clients and designers were replaced by silence.
In an instant, grand plans turned into endless questions. How could a showroom built to offer an immersive experience stay connected to clients who were now confined to their homes? How could the spirit of excellence be maintained when the world itself was at a standstill? The challenge wasn’t just about continuing operations—it was about preserving the trust and commitment to quality and delivery that Door & More was built on.
But giving up was never an option.
With unity and determination, Door & More reimagined how it operated. In-person consultations turned into virtual tours and online design sessions. Clients continued to receive personalized service and high-end design, proving that luxury and attention to detail don’t pause for a crisis.
Behind the scenes, the factory remained in full operation—strictly following all health and safety protocols to ensure production never faltered. And despite the unprecedented challenges, every delivery date was honored.
In doing so, Door & More once again proved that true craftsmanship doesn’t stop at obstacles. It rises above them—transforming them into moments of growth, resilience, and innovation.
A milestone moment arrived! In 2022, the GCC Ministers of Labor Committee awarded Door and More the title of “Best Small Project” at the 11th Gulf Ceremony for Distinguished Small Projects in Saudi Arabia.
This moment crowned all the hard work and challenges the company had faced, representing every small yet confident step toward success. The award symbolized not only a recognition from the GCC Ministers of Labor but also a badge of honor for everyone who worked hard under the banner of Door & More. It was a proud moment that represented not just Hassan and his team’s success but a Kuwaiti journey filled with hope and perseverance—a journey that began as a small dream in a modest workshop and is now a symbol of creativity and excellence in Kuwait and the Gulf.
