First he started from home, then he moved to a modest 20-square-meter workshop with 2 employees, the foundation for what would later be known as “Door and More” was laid. The venture initially focused on creating wooden doors, with the name reflecting the company’s specialty and vision. Within this small space, Hassan and his small team worked with big dreams, crafting and planning amongst their tools and wood pieces. They were driven by a desire to bring a distinctive aesthetic touch to Kuwaiti homes, setting a foundation for a future full of challenges and ambition.

With each piece of furniture they designed and created, they built strong foundations for their small workshop, which held hopes that far surpassed its size. Their goal was to add a unique, quality-driven elegance to every Kuwaiti home. Despite facing many initial challenges, from sourcing materials to ensuring customer satisfaction, they were confident in their ability to overcome obstacles, believing their small venture held immense potential.

Before launching his business, Hassan had been teaching his craft as an interior design instructor in Kuwaiti schools, sharing his knowledge and creativity with students. Yet, the desire for a new challenge and to establish a project with his own personal mark kept growing. He transformed his long-standing passion for furniture into a tangible reality. Hassan started by creating custom furniture pieces that blended refined taste with high craftsmanship, hoping that his dedication to unique work would help him stand out in the competitive local furniture market.

The early days were tough, filled with repeated challenges, such as limited resources, a small workspace that restricted production capacity, high costs that made every decision critical, and the complex task of meeting diverse customer needs while maintaining high-quality standards. Every decision carried weight, every contract was a learning opportunity, and every obstacle tested patience and determination.

However, Hassan remained resilient, driven by his belief that craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail could leave a lasting impression.
